Yesterday I was asked to speak at a Unity church on the topic of Understanding Oneness. I love the topic, and was asked to draw on Charles Fillmore's work on the 12 Spiritual Powers, and the power of Understanding. At first glance, the title is an oxymoron - there is no such thing as "understanding" Oneness, for understanding is a function of the mind. It exists on the linear plane. It requires the use of reason and intellect and everything that Oneness transcends. So Oneness cannot as much be "understood" as it can be Known. In fact, the same is true with all spiritual states. There is no "knowing" of spiritual truth. There is only being, experiencing. Isn't that the what Oneness is about, after all? Transcending the need to describe or mull over the blessed experience of no separation, simply pure connection. This is the Great I Am.
